HOW
THE MULTIBILLIONAIRE DONALD NEWHOUSE-OWNED STATEN ISLAND ADVANCE COVERS
UP
POLITICAL CORRUPTION AND PROTECTS THE MOB: THE ROBERT CATALDO/NYS
SENATOR DIANE
SAVINO STORY.
For years reporters
at the multibillionaire Donald Newhouse-owned Staten Island Advance,
including former Political Editor (and now "Opinion Commentator) Tom
Wrobleski, former Advance reporter Judy Randall, Editor Dean Balsamini,
Editor-in-Chief Brian Laline and Publisher Caroline Diamond Harrison,
have known (from me) about New York Stare Senator Diane Savino's Chief
of Staff Robert Cataldo's frightening act of terrorism against me during
my scheduled appointment with him in Sen. Savino's district office to
request her assistance on an emergency matter when I was homeless.
The Advance is fully aware that the (politically controlled?) 120th
precinct refused to take my complaint against Mr. Cataldo and that it
was therefore necessary for me to request the assistance of NYPD Sgt.
Detective Al Fiore, then with the NYPD's Intelligence Division, to file
my complaint for me. The NYPD complaint number is 2006-120-8244.
The Advance is fully aware of the fact that, anticipating my arrival
for my scheduled appointment, Robert Cataldo had emptied Ms.
Savino's district office of all other staff so as to assure that his
psychotic outburst and saliva-spewing threat and expletive-laden attack
on me would be witnessed by no one, a tactic strongly suggestive of
mobism.
The Advance is fully aware that for
years Senator Savino has protected this lunatic, even going so far as to
blatantly lie about the entire episode during my meeting with her some
months ago in the office of Rev. Dr. Tony Baker, Pastor of St. Philips
Baptist Church in Port Richmond, S.I., a meeting arranged at my request
by Dr. Baker, who was present. (The reason I approached Dr. Baker was
because of his close political relationship with her. What I did not
know, until Dr. Baker mentioned it to me in a private meeting with him,
is that he had presided over Robert Cataldo's marriage. Presumably Dr.
Baker was unaware at the time that Robert Cataldo is a criminal and that
he is nuts.)
I've already written quite
extensively about the Advance's history of news suppression, biased and
factually incorrect reporting and journalistic libels (e.g. against me).
When I was a Democratic write-in candidate for the U.S. Senate against
then incument Hillary Clinton I had a long interview with Wrobleski in
early 2005. He didn't get around to reporting it until August 21, 2006
and only after I had written a series of articles about Tom
("Wrongleski") Wrobleski. And as a result the Advance was scooped on
that story by Newsday, The New York Times, the New York Observer,
several college newspapers and other media.
The
Advance was also scooped on the story of the CIA-linked then NYC Public
Advocate Betsy Gotbaum's televised bizarre assertion that I was
"stalking" her, a manifestation of her fears regarding my occasional
presence as a reporter at events at which she appeared. Her nervousness
was directly connected to the fact that I've been personally acquainted
with Betsy Gotbaum since 1979 through my family and I know her (e.g.
CIA) secrets. That story was essentially accurately reported in NYC
Newsday, the Daily News and The New York Times and butchered by Tom
Wrobleski at the Staten Island Advance.
Because
Robert Cataldo committed a serious violation of my Constitutionally
guaranteed cvil rights I contacted the U.S. Department of Justice via
Loretta Lynch, then the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New
York, which includes Staten Island. After my long and quiite detailed
telephone conversation with Ms. Lynch's Assistant Michelle Johnson I
sent in my complaint against Robert Cataldo and Senator Savino and soon
thereafter I received an e-mail of acknowledgement from Ms. Johnson.
A few weeks ago I attended a cultural event at the Jewish Community
Center in S.I. My unscheduled meeting with Staten Island's most
prominent and influential Jewish political leader was unexpectedy
productive. During my perhaps 15 minute private conversation with the
gentleman - an UP FRONT News reader, who is also very well acquainted
with my favorite Rabbi, Gerald Sussman of Temple Emanu-el in Port
Richmond, and with whom I had discussed Robert Cataldo's act of
terrorism against me in detail - told me that my suspicions regarding a
link betwen Cataldo and the Mob were valid. He provided some information
regarding an incident involving a major threat perpetrated by Robert
Cataldo against another victim. He then added that, "Robert Cataldo is a
member of the Sicilian Mob."
I recently spent
some time in Washington, D.C. in connection with my efforts to generate a
congressional resolution that would call upon the U.S. to formally
acknowledge the nationhood of Tibet and to call for the withdrawal of
all foreign (i.e. Chinese) military and police personnel from China, a
formerly independent country that for over 60 years has been brutalized
in a racist genocide by a series of totalitarian Chinese Communist
regimes.
While I was in D.C. I called the FBI to
make a complaint against the political criminal Robert Cataldo. As per
the instructions given me by an FBI Public Access staffer I sent an
e-mail with my detailed complaint to the Washington, D.C. field office. I
soon received an e-mailed acknowledgement, with the instruction that,
inasmuch as the incident, etc. took place in New York, I should contact
the New York office. I did and spoke with an FBI "Duty Officer",
provided the essential information and at my request the lady gave me
the e-mail address for the New York office and I immediately fowarded my
complaint letter to that office.
I recently read
in the Advance that in Diane Savino's endorsement Michael McMahon, the
Democratic Party Machine candidate for Staten Island District Attorney,
she spoke of the need for "justice...integrity and fairness" in Staten
Island. Diane Savino on "integrity"? How about Donald Trump lecturing on
ethnic relations! Or Big Dick Cheney on peace!
And as is so often the case on political issues in Staten Island, you read it first in UP FRONT News.
