Thomas Berger, of 108-25 67th Drive, Forest Hills, N.Y. 11375, is the kind of “Orthodox” Jew who, in fact, serves as fuel for anti-Semites the world over. As a Jewish person myself, I feel an obligation to report on a de facto fake Jew, who, especially during business hours, treats the Ten Commandments as toilet paper. As far as I am able to determine, Thomas Berger, loftlord, has, concretely and/or figuratively, violated all Ten. The Commandments against committing murder (God states that thou shalt not murder, but is not explicit with regard to the act of killing; Moses was not punished for killing an Egyptian who was abusing a Hebrew slave) is also, at least figuratively, among those violated by Berger. If one considers – perhaps somewhat metaphorically – Truth to be a living thing – Berger is in fact a serial killer.
I first met Thomas Berger in the hallway of 190-Duane Street, in what is now known as Tribeca, on the Sunday following Thanksgiving Thursday 1978, a few days after this real estate speculator purchased the building for what wheeler-dealers call “a song.” I was a tenant in the fifth floor loft paying an affordable rent. Berger demanded immediate entry and, within about two minutes of his invasion, declared my occupancy “illegal” and said, paraphrased, “get out!” I responded, paraphrased, “No!”
And there began a 24 year war, involving the courts with Berger sing every possible means, including potentially deadly violence (by one of his knife-wielding-against-my-throat employees), the use of at least one organized crime-connected lawyer, and the calculated denial to me over a period of 5 ½ years, of any heat or water. Berger ultimately succeeded in evicting me by conspiring with my malevolent downstairs neighbor, cult-member Alice Wexler, to displace me for the crime of having poetry readings in my home. The eviction was executed by a fundamentally corrupt, gender-biased judge named Marilyn Shafer, a “liberal” Democrat from Greenwich Village.
Thomas Berger is one of those fake Jews who has succeeded in erecting a public persona, particularly in the Orthodox-heavy community of Forest Hills, Queens, as a philanthropist.
The only difference between Berger and Jesus-betrayer Judas Iscariot is that, where the Biblical traitor was satisfied with a reported 30 pieces of silver, Berger would have demanded more.
